Roy Bilham has been actively involved in brass education since 1969 when he started as a peripatetic teacher. From this date he and Thames Fanfare Brass have been involved in the following:

Parkway School, Thamesmead

Teaching Trumpet and all brass instruments.

(Introduction to Brass) workshops in schools throughout the southeast.

1997 Solo visit to South Africa for the British Council taking workshops, master classes, conducting the South Africa Army, Navy bands and the Cape Town

Salvation Army Band plus a lecture at Cape Town University

2000 John Wallace OBE and Roy Bilham, Brass Course, Bariloche, Argentina.

Wallace Collection tours for the British council, workshops, master classes in Australia, South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine.

Conducted and Coached in the South East London and Kent, Brass bands.

Trumpet coach for the Orchestral Summer Course at Beneden, Ashford, Kent.

Worked for many years with Birds College formally Bexley Academy of Music.

Now teachers privately, Beginners through to Diploma level.

A highly respected teacher.
